Late Friday, the lucky audience in Hall H at San Diego's Comic-Con got a behind the scenes look at STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS as well as hear from director J.J. Abrams, and the whole cast including Harrison Ford who has recovered nicely from his injuries from the plane crash. Disney released the behind the scenes video from Comic-Con, and frankly it had us near tears as the feel and look of the first three is definitely present in this seventh film in the Star Wars franchise. Take a look at the video below.
Many expected a new trailer for STAR WARS: EPISODE VII - THE FORCE AWAKENS, but the Disney folks and Lucasfilm gave us something better. The featurette proves that the new film used mostly practical effects, and it's going to be awesome. A new trailer won't arrive until this fall according to the filmmakers at Fridays panel.
Aside from J.J. Abrams, producer Kathleen Kennedy, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford,Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac and John Boyega graced the stage as well other cast members we had yet to hear from. Characters from the dark side played by Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie and Domhall Gleeson joined the panel.
More importantly, Abrams said there is a first cut of STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. The Comic Con panel is another reminder that we have a long wait until December 18.
