Ben Affleck returns as accountant by day, hitman by night, Christian Wolff along with Jon Bernthal in THE ACCOUNTANT 2 directed once again by Gavin O'Connor. Amazon MGM Studios released the first image and announced the sequel will premiere at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival in March.
Anna Kendrick does not return for the follow-up. J.K. Simmons and Cynthia Addai-Robinson returns with a new cast that includes Daniella Pineda (JURASSIC WORLD), and Allison Robertson.
In the image, Jon Bernthal and Ben Affleck's characters have an intense interaction as they face each other. The synopsis reveals Treasury Agent Marybeth Medina (Addai-Robinson) calls on Wolff to solve the murder of someone close to them and Wolff recruits his his estranged but highly lethal brother Brax.
The film will have its premiere at the SXSW Film Festival on Saturday, March 8 at The Paramount Theatre, and released in movie theaters April 25.
