Simon Pegg Michael Caine top 10 movies

Michael Caine announced his retirement from acting during an interview with BBC Radio 4's Today Show. To honor Caine's retirement, Simon Pegg listed his top Michael Caine performances while impersonating the 90-year-old actor on his Instagram post. Check out Pegg's top 10 Michael Caine picks.

Caine is currently starring in his last movie, THE GREAT ESCAPER. He leaves behind a great career. "What a pity! An amazing actor and fantastic man," says Pegg (STAR TREK movies, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE) in the Instagram video. Pegg ended the video with the funniest line, "Congratulations Michael on 56 years of not blinking."

While Pegg didn't list his favorite movies in any order, he did point out that his ultimate favorite is THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING.

ALFIE (1966)
GET CARTER (1971)
THE ITALIAN JOB (1969)
ZULU (1964)
THE IPCRESS FILE (1965)
DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS (1988)
EDUCATING RITA (1983)
SLEUTH (1972)
DRESSED TO KILL (1980)
THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING (1975)

Lastly, Pegg gave a special mention to Caine's role as Scrooge in THE MUPPETS CHRISTMAS CAROL (1992). The Scrooge role also happens to be Caine's favorite role telling GQ in 2016 that the movie holds a special place in his heart.
